Port Commission Meeting Summary – April 11, 2006

Developer Simon "?????? Snellgrove made an informal presentation to the five member San Francisco Port an Commission on Tuesday, April 11. The and hearing was very well attended, despite the inclement weather conditions. More than 50 cheap nfl jerseys people assembled in the Port cheap nba jerseys Commission Board Room.

Mr. Snellgrove stated again that the port area needs parking and that the reconstituted club would be a better facility with more open space, even Hello though 3 tennis courts would be gone. He did not give many detailed specifics any different from his previous presentations that FOGG members have heard.

Following Mr. Snellgrove was the public comment period. More than 20 people spoke, the overwhelming majority were opposed to the project. The major concerns were Downright the increased traffic and congestion, the lack of an area wide traffic and parking analysis and the loss of open recreational space. Several speakers, including Lee Radner, FOGG Chairman 4 and Fred Allardyce, President of the Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association emphasized that this has been a planned community for a generation and the open recreational space is part of that vision. Nan Roth of the Telegraph Hill Dwellers reemphasized that the THD continue to concur with the opinions previously expressed by 2006 their organization and by Senator Diane Feinstein and Robert L. Rumsey that this site was intended only for use for recreation and open space, that this site was to be in perpetuity, and that this restriction was reflected in the original steeply discounted purchase price for the cheap mlb jerseys site.
