FOGG Letter Campaign – Phase One Follow Up
We hope you have enjoyed your Labor Day Holiday, and were able to spend some time relaxing at the Club. Even though many people were out of town, the Club seemed quite busy during the long weekend, especially the pool area.
Friends of Golden Gateway (FOGG) wishes to thank all who have made the effort to write, email or fax the Port of San Francisco showing your support in keeping this open recreational space and opposing the proposed development known as 8 Washington.
We had one small error in our previous posting concerning the email address for Ann Lazarus, President of the Port Commission, which we have corrected. Ms. Lazarus does not have an official email address at the Port. Emails intended for her should be sent to the Port Commissioner’s secretary, Amy Quesada. Her email address is amy_quesada@sfport.com. She will give the emails to Ms. Lazarus.
It is not too late to write, email or fax your support. If you haven’t as yet we encourage you to do so. Numbers do count and with almost 1,000 FOGG members we can make a difference in halting the proposed development of a 600 car underground garage and 170 luxury condominiums. At this time FOGG is still focusing on the Port of San Francisco. Addresses and talking points are listed on the web site post below. Other agencies will be contacted in the future, and we will ask for your help at the appropriate time.
Lastly, FOGG has received some very generous donations in recent weeks for which we are thankful. If you are still thinking about making a 2006 donation remember there is no time like the present, and your donation is tax deductible.
FOGG must be financially viable to fight the proposed development. Donations can be made by sending your check payable to AGAPE/FOGG, and on the memo line please write “2006 tax deductible donation.” Your check should be mailed to: James Eggert, Treasurer, 550 Davis St. #46, San Francisco, CA. 94111. Or you can make your donation using the link on this web site. We thank you for your continued support.
