Friends of Golden Gateway (FOGG) wishes to remind you that the Recreational Space Resolution (File #061493) still needs to jump a few more hurdles before it becomes a reality. Â It will be heard again by the Supervisor’s Land Use & Economic Development Committee on Wednesday, December 6, 1:00pm – Room 263 – City Hall.

FOGG is very pleased with the turnout and testimony by our members and, the supporters of the San Francisco Tennis Club today. It was truly a large and representative group. The testimony by all those who talked was to the point and succinct. It made a very positive impression on Supervisors Sophie Maxwell, Gerardo Sandoval and Jake McGoldrick.
We have received many responses to our November 1st Open Letter, and want to share some of them with our supporters.
I have been a member of Golden Gateway Tennis & Swim (GGTSC) since moving to San Francisco ten years ago. Â I have used it regularly both to swim and to play tennis over the years. Â Additionally, my children have taken tennis lessons there and gone to summer camp as well.

Friends of Golden Gateway (FOGG) wishes to alert you that Supervisor Fiona Ma (District 4) has introduced an important resolution that could affect positively the future of our open recreational space!
Supervisor Ma’s resolution is titled “Interim Zoning Conditional Use Authorization for Change in Use or Reduction of 5000 square feet or more of Recreational Space.” This resolution could shield recreational space such as the Golden Gateway Tennis & Swim Club and the San Francisco Tennis Club from pressures of development, until more permanent rules are developed and adopted.
