FOGG Open Letter – September 4, 2008

Dear Friends & Supporters:

We want to remind you that the Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association (BCNA) is holding a DISTRICT 3 SUPERVISOR’S CANDIDATE FORUM – Wednesday, September 10, at KGO TV, 7:00 – 9:00pm, 700 Front Street.  Eight of the District 3 candidates will be attending.  This Forum is an opportunity to hear what the candidates have to say about the issues concerning our District, and in the case of FOGG we want to hear what their position will be, if elected, on keeping our neighborhood open recreational space intact.

We look forward to your attending this important meeting, and suggest you arrive early as seating is limited and a large crowd is expected.

We also wish to thank the FOGG members who volunteered their time at the August 31 Sunday Streets event.  We shared a booth with our friends from BCNA, and we modestly say we had the best looking displays.  Many new people stopped by to find out what FOGG is trying to accomplish, and a good number signed up to be on our mailing list.

We are going to participate in the next Sunday Streets on Sunday, September 14, 9:00am – 1:00pm, and look forward to telling more people of our effort to preserve the open recreational space.

Finally, thanks to those who recently sent in their tax deductible donations.  It is always greatly appreciated, as they are critical in continuing FOGG’s mission.
