FOGG Open Letter – April 17, 2010

In our April 5 Open Letter, FOGG was pleased to advise you that we had undertaken a special scholarship fundraising drive to help a number of low income youngsters attend our Community Recreational Center’s (GGT&SC) very popular Kids Camp this summer.

FOGG is pleased that we have received a number of check donations to help reach our goal of $5,000 that is being matched by the GGT&SC.  We still have a way to go, and we need your help.

In the April 5 Open Letter, we explained how to submit your tax deductible donation by check.  You can now send your donations online at this web site as we have set up this process with our new Foundation sponsor Peace Development Fund (PDF).

The online donation form is different from what we were previously using with our former sponsor.  When you use this new form, please be assured that your donation will be credited to the Scholarship fundraising drive.  This donation will help make for a very exciting summer for those young people who would not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy a very special experience.

Please click on the ‘Donations to FOGG’  link which will send you to the PDF ‘How to Give’ page.  While filling out the form, please scroll down to the heading ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.  Under that heading on the 3rd line – ‘Giving to one of our Fiscal Sponsorship Groups?’. You should write Friends of Golden Gateway (FOGG).

We understand this will take a bit of getting used to, but it is really for a worthwhile cause.  You may also of course send your tax deductible checks to Jim Eggert, Treasurer and CPA, 550 Davis Street #46, San Francisco, CA 94111.  In writing your check, please enter on the memo line “Scholarship Program – tax deductible donation.”

FOGG is confident that we will meet the $5,000 goal with the help of our many supporters.  We are confident we will succeed in giving many youngsters who deserve an opportunity to enjoy a summer of fun and specialized training in swimming and tennis.

FOGG looks forward to your continued support in our efforts to save our Community Recreational Center (GGT&SC).
