FOGG Alert – September 8, 2014

The SF PORT and NORTHEAST WATERFRONT ADVISORY GROUP (NEWAG) are holding public meetings that cover the “planning process” of the waterfront.

On Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 4:00pm, the Director of the SF Planning Department (John Rahaim) will give an informational presentation regarding working with the SF Port for waterfront planning and urban design. This meeting will be held at the Ferry Building, 2nd level, Conference Room.

On Monday, September 15, 2014 at 5:00pm, the Northeast Waterfront Advisory Group will meet on a number of issues concerning our neighborhood, including Teatro ZinZanni, SWL322-1, and a presentation of the Waterfront Land Use Plan.  NEWAG meets at Pier 1, Bayside 1 Conference Room.

The Agenda is at this link:  Northeast Waterfront Advisory Group Agenda

FOGG urges everyone who can attend these important meetings please make every effort to do so.

The 8 Washington site (Seawall Lot 351) is covered by the Waterfront Land Use Plan. We are still awaiting Simon Snellgrove (Pacific Waterfront Partners) to come back with an amended 8 Washington project, after his defeat by San Francisco voters in the November 2013 election.

Listen and participate in the dialog at these meetings that could affect our neighborhood, our outdoor recreational center (Bay Club at the Gateway), and the connection from Washington Street to Chinatown, its seniors and families.

The Asian Neighborhood Design group with the support of FOGG, provided an excellent Community Vision for San Francisco’s Northeast Waterfront. This Vision should once again be put before the SF Port and Planning Commissions as a basis for a broad discussion in the upcoming proposed revised Waterfront Land Use Plan.

The Vision is at the Asian Neighborhood Design Community Vision link on this website.

We look forward to seeing you there!
