Here is a comparison between what the Club is now and what the Club could be if the developer succeeds with the Condominium project.

Existing Club

  • 9 Tennis Courts.
  • 2 Ground Level Swimming Pools with lawn area.
  • Outdoor Jacuzzi.
  • Basketball court and adjacent pavilion area.
  • Outdoor Area of 82,800 sq. ft.

This will all be dramatically reduced, forever changing the facility from a family oriented, neighborhood friendly club to a small, exclusive and limited membership facility.

Proposed Club

If the developer succeeds with his proposal the result will be:

  • Two 8 story, extremely high priced condominium towers.
  • A loss of active open recreational space by over 50% to approximately 39,800 square feet.
  • The existing 9 tennis courts will be gone.   Only 4 courts will be replaced.  They will be surrounded by buildings.
  • The existing 2 pools and the lawn area around them will be gone.  There will be 2 new pools on the second floor of a Club facility on the Embarcadero street edge.
